Resources
The digital age provides access to immediate information, products, and services, available free to businesses and consumers and are an integral part of daily business operations. There are both advantages and disadvantages to online resources when provided by organizations such as the Federal Government, government agencies, and state government and agencies. One advantage is that these resources can provide easy to use self-service, self-help tools to accomplish a number of common tasks.
However a disadvantage is that many resource websites attempt to be a one-stop, ‘one size fits all’ solutions. This can often result in user frustration as the information content and connections become a giant stand-alone ball of spider webs within the website.
Many government agencies and service providers have significantly reduced human support staff and solutions resulting in impossible wait times for telephone contact, a limited pool of sufficiently experienced customer service personnel, and unacceptable performance in case resolution.
We list here websites that we think can be useful and helpful. Keep in mind that as your professional adviser, we maintain paid subscriptions to information, editorial explanation and analysis, and software and tools for calculations, documentation, and presentation.
